Village hall refurbishment progress

Village hall refurbishment progress

This summer’s works at the village hall are almost complete and the hall will reopen for normal business on Friday 26 August, in time for the Village Flower and Produce Show.

The kitchen has been enlarged and completely refitted with new units and appliances including a commercial dishwasher.

Other works have included a good deal of redecoration, including the ladies’ toilets, as well as sanding and revarnishing the main hall’s floor and improving storage for the Players, pre-school and creating an inside table store and cleaners’ store.

The kitchen works were funded entirely by donations, fundraising events and the hall’s own reserves, without any grants. We have spent around £30,000 this summer.

Fundraising events start again in September to help finance the next phase of improvements.

This is your chance to post a letter to Santa and receive a reply - what are you waiting for? ... See MoreSee Less
