Vice President Mrs Diana De La Rue opened the 92nd Annual Meeting. After Jerusalem was sung Mrs Cynthia Summerfield was introduced to preside over the meeting. Diana Budgen – Secretary, and Diana Winterford-Young – Treasurer, both stood down from the committee and were presented with a gift as a token of thanks for all their hard work. President, Mrs. Frampton, serves for another year and new member Mrs. Janet Ward was voted onto the committee.
Mrs Annette Watson gave an informative and amusing report on her recent trip to The Autumn Council Meeting at Barnstaple.
Names were taken for the Christmas meal to be held at the Red Wing on Tuesday, January 10th.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday, December 7th. Everybody was asked to bring a small plate of food, and a gift for the Bran Tub. The WI Carol Service is to be held at Exeter Cathedral on Tuesday December 6th. All visitors welcome, contact Mrs A Frampton on 276464.
