New classroom for school!

New classroom for school!

Many members of our wider community will know that planning permission for an additional temporary classroom for our school has been approved and that we expect it to be delivered and assembled before the start of next term. This addition will make a significant impact upon the quality of education that our children receive. As you may know there are currently seven classes been educated in six rooms. Our school has grown from just under a hundred pupils ten years ago to almost two hundred now, yet has received no capital investment in that time from the County Council

I am delighted, therefore, that Devon County Council have also now committed funds from the current financial year to buy the Church Room site, to demolish and remove the old building and to replace it with a new classroom. Further building work on that site will form part of the County Council’s future strategy for our school.
