Local designer and illustrator Holly Degavre, founder of Holly Degavre Design, has been announced as a finalist in the Arts, Media & Culture category at the West Country Women Awards 2025. The awards celebrate outstanding women across the South West who are making an impact in their fields.
With over 12 years of experience in the design industry, Holly launched her own business in 2024 after seeing an opportunity to create designs that broke the mould of the cookie-cutter imagery so common across the design space. Her work focuses on helping clients stand out through thoughtful creativity and individuality.
Specialising in a unique illustration style, Holly works with clients in several ways, from brand identity and logo design to bespoke illustration projects such as editorial commissions, and with businesses on long-term retainer work who want their brand to be proudly and uniquely their own.
Nominated by one of her clients, Holly’s dedication and originality have earned her a place as a finalist in this year’s awards. The West Country Women Awards ceremony will take place on 28th November in Plymouth, where winners from across the region will be revealed. Out of over 2600 nominations across the West Country Women Awards, Holly made it to the semi-finals as one of only 6 in this category, and now to the final, she is one of 4 finalists.
This exciting recognition comes as Holly is also a national finalist in the UK Small Business Awards, where she has been shortlisted for ‘Best Graphic Design Business’ — with the finals set for December.
