Heathfield Allotment Trust’s Plant Giveaway on Saturday 25th May, supported by Wild About Lympstone, proved to be a very popular event and was a total ‘sell out’! We now have 1,350 plants attracting a wide range of pollinating insects filling the gardens of Lympstone. And because these are either perennials or self-seeding annuals, they will do their job for years to come. Huge thanks to all involved. The event created a lovely community buzz on the meadow in front of the church, supported by some Wild About Lympstone-led nature wellbeing walks and a church consultation on the creation of new wildlife-friendly management plans for the churchyard. Thanks to the church for providing refreshments. This wasn’t a fundraiser but we did have Hospiscare buckets on the tables and raised £170.
