It might feel too soon to mention the C word but it’s definitely time to mention the A word – Advent (Windows).
It is lovely that decorating and lighting Advent windows has become a firm part of Lympstone’s year, giving a festive look and feel to the whole village on the dark evenings of December, and something that everyone can enjoy. Would you like to take part this year?
The lighting up time of 5-8pm each evening and ending by 31st December seemed to work well for everyone last year so that will be the plan again. However, I know that other commitments might mean you need to vary from that sometimes and that’s ok too. One of the homes on Church Road proved last year that you don’t even need a window that opens onto the street to take part, do you remember the light box on the wall? I know the church are making plans to take part too so there’s going to be lots to see as you walk around the village.
