CAN YOU HELP?
The village hall trustees have started a planned programme to refresh each of the rooms at the village hall. Post pandemic, we feel it is important to ensure that all clubs, groups and classes can return with confidence to brighter, fresher facilities.
As you can imagine, there is a lot of work in the clearing, preparation, sanding and painting of each hall and we would really appreciate extra help.
The painting schedule for the Main Hall is:
Day 1 SUNDAY 22ND AUGUST, PM ONLY, Room Clearance
Day 2 MONDAY 23RD AUGUST, Preparation – sanding woodwork
Day 3 TUESDAY 24TH AUGUST, Preparation – sanding woodwork. First coat emulsion.
Day 4 WEDNESDAY 25TH AUGUST, Second coat emulsion paint. Undercoat woodwork.
Day 5 THURSDAY 26TH AUGUST, Topcoat woodwork.
Day 6 SATURDAY 28TH AUGUST, Final topcoat woodwork.
Day 7 SUNDAY 29TH AUGUST, PM ONLY, Final and restore curtains etc.
Any half or whole day you offer to join us will be an invaluable help to the team.
