Sunday 10th – Saturday 17th May
In ‘normal’ times envelopes are delivered to people’s homes to invite them to make a donation to the charity which fights poverty and injustice around the world. In these abnormal times, the charity, like all of us, is having to rely totally on electronic means of communication so this year it is running a ‘Virtual Christian Aid Week’.
Locally this requires us to find ways to enable people to open an e-Envelope which you will see if you click on Open your e-Envelope. We’ve also created a Lympstone Christian Aid Week 2020 Team Just Giving page to provide a way for people to make donations, and a Lympstone Christian Aid Week 2020 facebook page.
A Christian Aid Challenge (inviting people to email ‘works of art’ – video, drawing, music, poetry, … – related in some way to Christian Aid’s work) and Christian Aid Quiz are also being organised. These are great opportunities for community involvement at a time of limited opportunities.
