Exe Autumn Clean-Up

Exe Autumn Clean-Up

Exe Estuary Management Partnership

Our Autumn Clean-Up event will be taking place on Saturday 14th October at 12.30pm to 2.30pm at Exmouth.

In more recent years, we have noticed a significant decrease in rubbish where we usually clean… which is great news! It indicates that these clean-ups are having a positive effect on the estuary, and that people’s attitudes towards littering are changing. Therefore we will be targeting a different area of Exmouth seafront this year – details are being approved with the relevant authorities and a meeting place will be confirmed ASAP to all volunteers.

Once again, we have some very generous local businesses supporting our Clean-Up. Krispies Fish & Chips are offering volunteers an early tea of tasty cod bites, whilst we are invited aboard a free cruise of the estuary courtesy of Stuart Line Cruises !!!

BOOKING ESSENTIAL: Places are limited, so book your place online at: https://buytickets.at/exeestuarymanagementpartnership/1025294

Booking through the link above will reserve you a place for the cruise and food. However, these are likely to get booked up very quickly. Once these places are booked up, everyone is still welcome to join us for the Clean-Up. Any spare tickets for the food and cruise will be handed out to those that don’t have tickets after the Clean-Up.

If you are no longer able to go, please make sure you cancel your tickets, so others can book a place.

Meeting Point: Exmouth seafront before 12.30pm (exact meeting point will be confirmed with volunteers before the event).

Travel: Parking will be pay and display at this event, please use public transport if possible.

Equipment: A limited amount of equipment is provided, but please bring your own if you have them. Wear thick gloves, sensible clothing and footwear such as wellies or old trainers. Bring a bucket if you have one, to carry rubbish.

Families are welcome, as are friendly dogs on leads; children must be accompanied by an adult.

A huge thank you to Krispies Fish & Chips, Stuart Line Cruises and Street Scene for their incredible ongoing support of this Clean-Up.
