Ideas sought for ‘new normal’ village events

Ideas sought for ‘new normal’ village events

Village Hall re-opening under Covid conditions

The village hall will be open from 6th July 2020, and will have to observe Covid guidance and regulations in order to keep everyone safe. The current guidance can be see here. This ‘new normal’ makes many of our usual village events very difficult. The picture shows the layout for 2 metre distancing (front 2 rows) and 1 metre distancing (rear rows).

Many villagers have been shielding or self-isolating for several months now. The Village Hall Trustees are keen for local people to make full use of this safe, indoor amenity and will look at special rates to enable this to happen. Lympstone is full of creative and inventive people, and so we are calling for ideas for small-scale events that can bring us together over the autumn and winter months.

Have you got any ideas for small-scale events that could be offered?

Could you organise a public event in the village hall for the local community?

Please share your ideas with one of the hall’s trustees, or email us at info@lympstonevillagehall.co.uk
