Enormous thanks to everyone who helped make Lympstone Living Advent Calendar such a festive and happy event throughout the village in December. Too many people to mention by name but you all know who you are and it couldn’t have happened without you! There has been lots of positive feedback and it was amazing to see all the extra window decorations and lights as everyone joined in to make the village as festive as possible. It was disappointing to have to scale back the offering of mulled wine and mince pies on Christmas Eve at the village hall, but it was still lovely to see people gather in small and distanced groups to wish each other happy Christmas, while viewing the final window decorations and the schoolchildren’s artworks. Generous donations meant we also raised more than £130 on that evening for Exmouth Foodbank, delivered with love from Lympstone. There is enthusiasm to do it all again next December and Doreen would welcome feedback to lympstonelivingadvent@gmail.com on ways to improve it.
