STARTING WILDLIFE WELLBEING WALKS
In association with LED Community Leisure and the Ramblers’ Association

Saturday 8th November 2025 10.30am, Lympstone Village Centre.
As passionate nature walkers, we know the joy and pleasure that comes from a mindful walk in nature – spotting wildlife, getting active, connecting with the natural beauty around us, chatting with friends. Research is also increasingly showing how walking in nature delivers powerful health benefits. It’s been proven to reduce blood pressure and the risk of Alzheimer’s, boost our immune systems and mood, strengthen our hearts and help us regulate emotional stress. A walk is such a simple, yet incredibly powerful way to reset and nourish ourselves, especially when we’re connecting with nature and others. It offers us an opportunity to let go of the busyness and stress for a while and come back to a place of peace and calm inside ourselves – and it’s free!

WAL will be leading its first wildlife wellbeing walk on Saturday 8th November, meeting at 10.30am in Lympstone village centre. We have teamed up with the Ramblers’ Association Wellbeing Walks and one of its local partners, LED Community Leisure, who have provided us with training and support in line with their own East Devon Walk This Way Wellbeing Walk programme. We’d love you to join us!

What to expect
This will be a gentle circular walk starting and finishing from the village centre, close to toilets and car parking. It is of low/medium difficulty and will last approx. 60-90 minutes. There are a couple of gentle slopes, some kissing gates and narrow footpaths. WAL will be responsible for leading the group, but we very much encourage the whole group to spot wildlife and share any wildlife knowledge. Anyone is welcome to stay on and join us for a drink or bite of lunch at the Swan pub afterwards

Who is this for
• The walk is open to anyone who feels able to take part.
• Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult
• Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome.
