We are now in the final week of our consultation, Right Response, which looks at how we respond to automatic fire alarms.
I want to say a huge thank you for your help in promoting our consultation so far. As part of the final push to reach as much of our communities as possible, I’d appreciate it if you could help us by sharing our social media posts (@dsfireupdates) and encouraging everyone in your networks to complete the online survey, before it closes at midday on 9 April.
Once the consultation is closed, the findings will be analysed by a specialist research company and the results present to the Service. We will consider the findings against the proposals before deciding what we’ll do.
We will publish the findings of the consultation and our decision in early summer.
If we decide to make any of the change proposed within the consultation, we anticipate that these will are likely to be implemented from this summer. We will communicate the implementation plan and provide clear advice and support for businesses that are affected. Please continue to stay up to date with how this might affect you and your community.
