Our sailing club enjoyed a successful regatta over the weekend of 6th – 8th June. Lots of racing took place on the estuary with children’s fun in the river, concluding with a soaking of the commodore and a BBQ for 120. The weather wasn’t ideal but it didn’t dampen the fun.
We are looking forward to hosting the big party for the Exe Regatta weekend on the evening of 19th July with guests from Starcross Fishing and Cruising club as well as Starcross, Topsham and Exe sailing clubs. These are always fantastic events and we have no doubts that this will be too.
RNLI Exmouth are planning to visit the slipway with their fantastic All Weather Rescue Craft and a smaller inshore lifeboat on Friday 25th July from 19:30. Come and have a look around these incredible beasts. Everyone’s welcome but remember to bring your spare cash or credit cards to make a donation to this excellent charity for which all of us living by the sea appreciate so much. The clubhouse bar will be open for members and friends with pasties for sale.
