Boat Craning Afloat

The annual craning afloat of winter dry-berthed boats to the brook is planned to take place on the morning of Saturday 18th April 2015 from 6am to midday.  For those boat-owners involved it is a must, but it is also a spectacle that attracts the attention of a wider audience, but perhaps not at 6am!   A very large mobile crane will arrive in the village mid- to late afternoon on Friday 17th and depart early afternoon on Saturday.

Owners of vehicles normally parked on the route between the Harbour via The Strand, Bergmann’s Hill, Nutwell Road  and  the A376, particularly on the corner turning into the Harbour outside the Swan Inn, and at the parking bays on The Strand furthest from and in sight of the railway bridge are asked to co-operate as usual in parking with extra care.
