East Devon Way – Rydon Lane traffic issue.

East Devon Way – Rydon Lane traffic issue.

The East Devon Way – changes to status on part of Rydon Lane.

Recently changes have provided access by means of walking or by cycle from Marley Rd, Hulham Rd and the A376 Toucan Crossing onto The Exe Trail plus the new route along Rydon Lane to and from Woodbury.

It is proposed that now that the path is open new signs are erected prohibiting Motor Vehicles (except for access) along part of Rydon Lane.

A consultation took place over the Christmas period however recently a number of objections have now been registered by a Motor Cycle Group which could cause an issue of safety for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders.

Although the consultation period is over, we are advising residents of the situation and request feedback either in support or objections of the signs.

All comments received would then need to be registered with DCC Traffic Management Team (as soon as possible) who would be able to raise issues at the next East Devon HATOC in April but will not be included in the consultation process.
