‘Sherry Morning’ at the Globe

July 27, 2014 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Anti-Slavery Annual Summer Party at the Globe Inn

Sunday 27th July 2pm to 6pm

Free food and live music. Prizes totaling over £1500.

1st prize – £250 Hotel Break – 2 nights for 2 people
2nd prize – 2 First Class railway return tickets
3rd prize – 3 course dinner with wine for 2 people

Following the great success of the Sherry Morning in 2013 at The Globe with exceedingly generous support from Mike and Ange we have found our “Shangri-La”!  We raised £2000 for Anti-Slavery International including a generous cheque from Mike and Ange. The Lord Mayor of Exeter, (a Vice patron of the Exeter Anti-Slavery Group),  was enjoying a glass of Shiraz, mouth watering gourmet food and live music before being reminded that he was due at 4pm  at The Quay, Exeter to judge a Veteran Motor Cycle Event in the rain!

This year it will be as in previous years, the last Sunday of July, the 27th  from 2pm to 6pm at The Globe with food provided and live music throughout the afternoon. Since there is now no admission charge the only way we can make funds for Anti-Slavery International is with the Grand Summer Draw which this year has as its 1st Prize a £250, 2 night hotel break for 2 people This and dozens of other prizes in excess of £1,500 in value are to be won!  This year Anti-Slavery International is 175 years old, ( 14th April 1839- 14th April 2014), the world’s oldest international human rights organisation. As regulars know I will be calling to sell Draw tickets during June and July and would welcome anyone else who would like to sell these as well. Thank you for your support
