The Neighbourhood Plan Working Group wishes to thank ALL those who voted last Thursday – the turnout was truly amazing at 43.59% (the national average for local elections being 31.3% and for European Elections just 24%); this turnout shows that local people are really showing interest in shaping their communities.
86.5% of those who voted last Thursday were in favour of the Plan, and we see this as a clear mandate to proceed with the community policies the plan contains. We are always keen to have fresh faces on our working group, and are planning a public meeting in June for all those who may be interested in helping with a particular project, joining the group or just being an occasional volunteer.
We also look forward to working alongside Lympstone Parish Councillors to deliver the vision that the electorate have proposed.
