Road Closure Gibraltar Road

Gibraltar Road will be closed for resurfacing works from 17th March for 2 days – 19th March, under a 24 hour closure (see local signage for up to date information).

Vehicles must be removed from the carriageway during their working hours, and before the works commence!

Your questions answered:

1. Resurfacing works are on the whole of Gibraltar Road from the junction of Meeting Lane to the end of Gibraltar Road including the junctions of Trafalgar Road, (but excluding Glebe Close).
2. Parking on the road will not be possible, and there will for vehicles.  The road surface takes time to cure so we are encouraged to park elsewhere if possible.  Vehicles cannot travel on the material until it is fully cured.
3. Pedestrian access to the properties in Gibraltar Road and Glebe Close only. The road will be reopened once the works are complete and the workforce are happy the material is fully cured for everyone’s safety.
4. Beware of walking tar into your property if you have walked across any of the surfaces affected.
