You can read Charles Dowding’s book ‘Organic Gardening the Natural, No Dig Way’ to gain an understanding of soil and ways of treating it, and the fundamentals of vegetable growing, or you can meet him in person.
Charles Dowding is coming to our Village Hall at 2.00pm on 23rd February. You can learn how he has, over time, increased soil fertility and drainage by spreading compost and manure on the soil each autumn. Cost £2 and you can buy tea and cakes too. Furthermore, the Garden Club is planning a summer trip to Lower Farm, Shepton Montague, to see his methods in action.
