Following discussion at the Parish Council on 7 October about our proposals relating to the village hall, the Council has placed a statement on the village website. This statement had been read out at the meeting but not shown to us beforehand.
The statement claims that the Parish Council is the legal owner of the Village Hall. The trustees of the village hall have taken legal advice that does not agree with that statement. The trustees (who form the Lympstone Village Hall Management Committee) will continue to act in accordance with the legal advice they have received.
