The installation of the roof on the tank has taken a couple of days longer than planned so the crane will be removed from site on Wednesday 20 December (next week) Excavation for the connecting pipework has begun and will continue next week, the site will be closed down on Friday 22 December until 2 January next year.
I have been advised that the meter for the lights in the temporary car park will be installed next week so the lights should be on just in time for the shortest day! We apologise if this has caused any inconvenience but unfortunately this has been with third parties and beyond our control
Works to upgrade the screens in the outfall chamber on the foreshore are scheduled to begin the first week of January. The work will mainly be within the existing chamber and should not cause much in the way of disruption to the village, this work is expected to take around two months to complete.
