Exe Estuary Management Partnership (EEMP), are advertising for a full-time Coastal Support Officer from March 2024 for 23 months, recruited through Exeter University Internship Scheme (to apply for this role, you must have achieved a degree at any UK-based university within the last three years).

Job Summary – Devon County Council are recruiting a Coastal Support Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Exe Estuary Management Partnership on an internationally important site for wildlife, and with the Devon Maritime Forum in the only county that boasts two beautiful coastlines. Our vision is to provide an inclusive, integrated, and balanced forum for all key interests in the maritime sector with a view to empowering them to deliver sustainable and equitable management of our coasts and seas. You will be involved with a wide variety of important initiatives, ranging from nature recovery to sedimentation, developing a range of skills which will provide you with excellent experience to help you with your future career. An immediate priority for this post is to work with partners to develop the marine element of the statutory Devon Local Nature Recovery Strategy.  This will involve research, writing, and organising workshops for species and habitat experts and delivery partners.  This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with national and local marine stakeholders and obtain an overview of all issues relating to marine nature recovery and nature based solutions. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and is a full time (36.50 hours/week) role from March 2024 for 23 months. You will be employed by the University of Exeter and seconded to Devon County Council.
