We are still in the holiday season and it can be difficult to get back into the flow of looking out for concerts and booking tickets. Our first concert is on Saturday 7th September in Lympstone Church at 7.45pm.

Maggie Faultless is one of the finest instrumentalists in the country and is honouring us with the first concert given by her new ensemble, Gli Amici. Their programme includes music by Handel and Vivaldi, and the 17th century English composers John Dowland and Matthew Locke, who came from Exeter, and became Court composer to Charles II. Cellist Jonathan Rees is the soloist in Vivaldi’s Cello Concerto in A minor.

Tickets are also available for the Sunday afternoon concert series let by Ruth Molins. Full details are in Drumbeat but I will be glad to send any further information you may need about each concert and the series.

Looking forward to seeing you all again this autumn.

With best wishes

John Welton
