Lympstone School news

With lots of very different visitors to the school in October, including pirates, former pupils and Royal Marines, it was hard to decide which was the scariest! Our topic this term has been ships and seafarers and as part of this the children enjoyed an excellent travelling production of ‘Treasure Island’. Shiver me timbers!

We have many teaching students working with us at any one time but this term we also had two former pupils, Ed Stone and Alicia Curtis on work experience. I remember them when they were toddlers. They seemed to enjoy revisiting the sand and water trays, but were less impressed by the size of the chairs!

As part of the CTCRM young officers exercise in the village, Royal Marines used the school during half term. Royal Marine families are an integral part of our school and it’s always a pleasure to help.

Thoughts now turn to tinsel, teatowels and Chirstmas carols!
